I’m not overly fond of the beats on this track but I always loved the breakdown. It’s the last track on this video, 11:50 onwards.
MF Doom recording as King Geedorah but not actually rapping on this track as far as I can tell. He said ‘This whole album is Geedorah’s alien perspective on humans. This is done intentionally to show the listener a mirror image of his/herself and the way we see each other’. Another one where the words and concept goes over my head but the music is sublime.
I’m fairly sure I could write a blog with daily posts for about a decade that solely dealt with drum and bass tunes that sample Blade Runner. It would be a good read though and quite Dillinja heavy. Here’s a doozy from Ed Rush & Nico, this would be on repeat if I was thinking about writing sci-fi based in some dystopian future. Oh, a bit like Blade Runner then.
